Marriage is the union of two people who dream of spending their whole lives with each other. In Sorrow and pleasure, they swear to grasp one another’s hands. Then why do we expect a woman to modify “or make compromises after marriage. A series of “adjustments” starts from here, as she takes her first step to the residence of her in-laws. According to the Global Aspirations Index report, half of the world’s female population has given up on their aspirations. Giving up on your aspirations as a male and doing so as a woman is definitely different. While we here are focused on women, let us speak about the primary reasons why women let up of their ambitions. I also want to shed some light on how society shapes and affects women’s dreams and desires from an early age.
Even if it is the 21st century, we are still, at the end of the day, living in a patriarchal society. Young ladies come across numerous emotions, views, and unwanted advice that individuals in general have regarding their hopes and goals. If their professional choices in any way defy the stereotype we have constructed for women in our culture, the attitude they are faced with is typically negative and condemning. At times, it also turns into despondency. It isn’t unusual for women to be advised that this specific field or stream of work isn’t precisely designed for them. Women who wish to study STEM might offer a more extensive description of this than I ever could. Society tries to determine a woman’s objectives from a young age. This changes her thinking regarding what dreams are within her reach and which are not. We would address the different variables that contribute to women losing up on their ambitions.
